Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Facilities Management Transport Team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supervising staff and managing rotas and workload.

Main Duties

The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the provision of a professional and efficient Internal Mail Delivery service, collecting and delivering mail across Kent, including equipment and other ad hoc items as required. The role will also involve daily supervision of a team of drivers and managing rotas and workload.

A full clean driving license is essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to drive as part of the Rota to cover for absence if required.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Professional knowledge acquired through vocational qualifications to Level 3 or equivalent
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar supervisory role
  • Knowledge of routine daily maintenance of vehicles

Desirable qualifications include a Certificate in professional competence in national road haulage and good knowledge of Kent's road networks.
