About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Facilities Management Transport Team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Transport Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the provision of a professional and efficient Internal Mail Delivery service, collecting and delivering mail across Kent, including equipment, and other ad hoc items as and when required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the daily supervision of a team of drivers, managing rotas and workload.
  • Ensure the continuity of the service at all times.
  • Manage the daily collection and delivery of mail, equipment, and other items.
  • Develop and implement effective transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve any issues that may impact the service.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Professional knowledge acquired through vocational qualifications to Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of routine daily maintenance of vehicles.
  • Previous driving role experience is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Kent's road networks is desirable.
