About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to lead the development of acute pathway psychology provision in Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based psychology services to patients accessing the First Response Service and the Rehabilitation Service in the locality.

You will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, locality leadership team(s), and speciality clinical network to enhance and evaluate the psychological care offer provided by a multi-professional workforce. This includes developing and maintaining a systematic, high-quality, evidence-based psychology service, providing training, consultancy, supervision, and support to multi-professional staff, teams, and managers.

With a strong focus on continuous quality improvement, you will take a strategic and pragmatic approach to service evaluation, audit, and research. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills in leadership, management, and service development.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • HCPC registration
  • Substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist
  • Experience of providing consultation, training, support, and supervision/reflective practice to other professionals and non-professionals
