We are looking for an exceptional individual who is energetic, passionate and committed, to lead our charity. You will provide the strategic vision and operational direction of Platform for Life, along with strong leadership to a committed and values driven team, providing services that have a genuine impact on people’s lives and wellbeing.

You will be an ambassador for the charity, helping to raise our profile across the area and beyond. This opportunity will suit an inspiring leader who enjoys encouraging a collaborative and innovative working culture, bringing knowledge, experience and passion to our work.

The role is available on a full (5 days) or part time basis **(4 days per week). ** Full time salary will be **£49,000 - £53000 per year, **dependent on experience, with **38 days paid holiday** (including bank holidays). Part time (4 days per week) salary will be £38,200-£42,400 with 30 days paid holiday (including bank holidays.) We offer flexible working opportunities, including the option of some home working.
- Provide leadership, strategic and operational management to ensure the smooth and effective running of the charity.
- Have the ability to develop and deliver strategy with a focus on operational delivery, financial sustainability, quality assurance, and organisational development.
- Be responsible for the strong governance of the charity, and close and effective partnerships with the Board.
- Work with the Board to ensure the charity complies with its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities as an incorporated charity.
- Strengthen and diversify the charity’s income sources, support and build relationships with potential funders and develop the charity’s digital fundraising platforms to reach and engage with supporters.
- Develop and lead the charity’s financial activities and ensure robust financial systems and procedures are in place.
- Ensure the charity operates within the annual budget agreed with the Board and that there is efficient and effective management of resources to achieve this.
- Be an ambassador for the charity, demonstrating strong networking skills, building key relationships, and promoting Platform for Life widely across the area in line with its strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all principal supporters and key stakeholders including referrers, funders, community charities/agencies and statutory bodies.
- Support the Clinical Lead to enable optimal deployment of staff in the various roles and locations to aid service delivery.

**Personal specification: -**
- Proven experience of leading and managing staff. Ability to work with a Board of Trustees.
- A proven track record in income generation and financial management. Good financial and commercial acumen and is able to set and operate a budget, negotiate contracts and secure income that can sustain the long-term viability of the charity.
- Proven experience of strategic and operational management. A strategic thinker who is able to develop a clear vision and strategy for the charity and identify opportunities and threats as they arise.
- Strong advocacy and networking skills to effectively promote the charity’s aims and objectives both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and understanding of the charity/voluntary sector and working collaboratively with other agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders including team, Board, politicians, community groups, funders etc.
- Possess strong IT skills and be experienced using Microsoft packages and online databases. Ideally, also with experience of using website content management systems.

**What you can expect from us: -**
- Competitive rate of pay; between £49,000 and £53,000 **per year full time equivalent**.
