Project Manager Position for UK Government Client

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work alongside the Programme Manager and Release Train Engineer for our Government client. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Farnborough, UK, with flexible working arrangements.
About the Role:
- Manage project activities, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Create and maintain robust Management Plans in accordance with industry best practice.
- Review and approve risk management process recommendations, eliminating or mitigating risks as necessary.
- Ensure contract management and development activities are completed to support the programme.
Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for administering project activities, providing direction and corrective actions to ensure timely completion of milestones. You will also create and maintain Management Plans, reviewing and approving risk management process recommendations, and ensuring contract management and development activities are completed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven track record in delivering projects or task work packages.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Programme and Project Management.
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies, particularly Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team.
- Sound understanding of business, finance, and personnel management techniques, as well as commercial aspects of projects.
- Ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence effectively.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 33 days annual leave. We also provide opportunities for career growth and professional development.
