About the Role

Xodus Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in advising on contract and commercial risks and opportunities of key proposals and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and advise on contractual risk in contract drafts, including client contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreement forms.
  • Lead negotiation of contracts, contract amendments, and renewals, including annual rate reviews.
  • Attend client negotiation meetings and performance reviews.
  • Provide commercial input to proposals, ensuring legal issues and commercial risks are fully understood and taken on board in preparation of tenders.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce/manage business risk and actively promote continuous improvement in commercial and contractual aspects of business operations.
  • Provide guidance, training, and awareness on contractual and commercial aspects to the wider business, ensuring early engagement in the contracting process.
  • Regular monitoring and reporting on project commercial performance.
  • Ensure all activities comply with governance policies and procedures and project controls are followed.
  • Keep the business up to date with relevant changes to regulations/legal requirements.
Supplemental Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, contract and commercial management processes, and guidelines.
  • Commercial review of key proposals, especially of high value or complexity, and framework/global agreements.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legal developments.
  • Relevant experience in both client and supplier-facing commercial contracts, preferably gained in an engineering/energy consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrably solid understanding of contracts and commercial/legal principles.
  • Knowledge and experience of commercial contract law and relevant regulations.
  • High computer literacy in MS Office.
