Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to join our Apheresis team at Cambridge University Hospitals. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in haematology and apheresis, with experience in managing complex patient cases. You will be a natural leader, able to motivate and support your colleagues to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing apheresis procedures. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing apheresis procedures
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Implement evidence-based treatments and interventions, in accordance with Trust policies and guidelines
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the development of our services, through participation in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Requirements
  • Current registration with the NMC
  • Experience in haematology and apheresis, with a strong background in patient care and management
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
