Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working 40 hours over 4 days per week, with opportunities for flexible scheduling. You will be responsible for performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals, as well as conducting surgical procedures and collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff.

The successful candidate will have a veterinary degree from a recognized institution, a valid veterinary license to practice in the UK, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have the ability to work effectively in a team and independently, as well as a compassionate and caring approach to animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
  • Conduct surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
Salary and Benefits

This rewarding role offers a competitive salary of up to £68,000 depending on experience. Other benefits include annual leave, CPD allowance, VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid, and many more perks.
