Matron for Maternity Services

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Matron to lead our maternity services team at Harris Birthright Unit and Specialist Services.
About the Role: As Matron, you will be responsible for managing staff, setting and monitoring clinical standards, and playing a proactive role in quality improvement. You will work collaboratively with all stakeholders in the maternity services to deliver the Maternity strategy and act as a positive role model providing expert clinical advice and support.
Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a positive role model providing expert clinical advice and support promoting a woman and family-centered approach to maternity care.
- Manage and respond to complaints and feedback from people who use the service.
- Oversee budgets and ensure appropriate provision and care for the management of resources for midwifery and support staff, consumables, and environment.
- Create and sustain efficient care processes that provide high-quality clinical care.
- Actively engage with improvement in the service using recognised quality improvement methods.
- Monitor and enact HR processes such as sickness absence management, disciplinary procedures, recruitment, and retention of staff including succession planning.
