Job Title: Special Needs Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic individual to join our team as an Information, Advice & Support Service Officer. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills to work with parents/carers and young people.

As part of our dynamic team, you will deliver an innovative service from home with occasional visits to a Council office in Cheshire West and Chester.

About the Position:
  • Empower parents/carers and young people to self-advocate and have their voices heard through presentation of workshops and training sessions.
  • Enable them to participate in identifying and reviewing their own/child's special education needs and provision offered.
  • Maintenance of service and customer/case management databases to ensure effective delivery of our services.

Fully Agile: Workers work from a home base with occasional visits to a Council office. Many services and customers span across Cheshire West and Chester, requiring flexibility to work at any location.

Key Responsibilities:

A current full driving license is required. The role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including Children's/Adults Barred List.

Remuneration:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum.

This salary reflects the level of responsibility and expertise required for this role in Cheshire West and Chester.
