About the Role:

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive school in Ellesmere Port to find a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This role requires an individual who can provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school or similar educational setting, preferably with SEN students, and possess a relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection is also essential.

The salary for this role is estimated at £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits include opportunities for professional development and training, as well as a chance to make a real impact on the lives of children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with SEN in accessing the curriculum and engaging in class activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support specific learning strategies.
