We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Data Sales Expert to join our team at Databricks. As a successful candidate, you will have experience in penetrating new accounts, executing on first use cases, growing initial consumption, and closing deals in a direct sales role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a fast-growing pre-IPO organisation that could define the next stage of your career. You will be responsible for assessing your territory and developing a successful account execution strategy, identifying and activating new accounts, exceeding activity and revenue targets, and tracking all customer details in Salesforce.

The ideal candidate will have experience in relevant software sales development roles with consumption sales motion, some exposure to software industry and grasp of basic concepts of selling SAAS, Big Data and Business Value. Additionally, they will have a basic understanding of the data platform and cloud ecosystems, experience exceeding sales targets/quotas, success closing new accounts while working existing accounts, and passion for cloud technologies.

Job Description

This role is perfect for a self-starter who understands how to generate pipeline and manage full sales cycles. You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing your territory and developing a successful account execution strategy
  • Identifying and activating new accounts to execute account activation target
  • Exceeding activity and revenue targets
  • Tracking all customer details including use case, purchase time frames, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce
  • Identifying new use case opportunities and showcasing value to prospects
  • Promoting the value of the Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform
  • Ensuring 100% satisfaction among all customers
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience penetrating new accounts, executing on first use cases, growing initial consumption, and closing deals in a direct sales role
  • Experience in relevant software sales development roles with consumption sales motion
  • Some exposure to software industry and grasp of basic concepts of selling SAAS, Big Data and Business Value
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
