About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Care UK. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for leading and supervising your shift, case managing residents, and administering medication. You will also work closely with the leadership team to develop services and provide a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times.

Job Summary:

  • Lead and supervise your shift, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Case manage residents, liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer and record medication accurately and safely.
  • Carry out risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Work with care assistants to support residents with daily needs, promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and exceeded.
  • Maintain accurate records, including medication administration and resident progress.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop services, improve processes, and enhance resident outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, families, and colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise others, with a strong understanding of care planning processes.
  • Experience in administering medication, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
