Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Safety Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing complex professional engineering judgement for the effective implementation of technical engineering safety.

This is a challenging role that requires strong root cause analysis and Failure Mode Effects (Criticality) Analysis experience.

  • A good understanding of SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, ISO 55000 and Infrastructure/Plant/Equipment design standards and associated inspection and maintenance requirements
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of maintaining infrastructure, plant, equipment and systems
Responsibilities
  • Setting, managing, and assessing standards of competence for Maintenance Engineering Safety
  • Reviewing suitability of maintenance scope and service for compliance with relevant regulations
  • Advising on the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety
  • Providing technical support in resolving complex issues across the business
Requirements
  • An HNC/HND or equivalent suitable experience, such as EngTech MIET
  • Familiar with maintenance strategy development during design, including Availability, Reliability & Maintainability considerations
