AWE Plc is currently recruiting for a seasoned Nuclear Safety Expert to lead our infrastructure, plant and equipment projects directly related to nuclear safety.

Job Description

This role is ideally suited to an experienced leader with a strong understanding of ensuring compliance in highly regulated environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance, risk, services, and maintenance methodology in the provision of supporting infrastructure, plant and equipment directly related to nuclear safety.

The Nuclear Safety Expert Leader will work closely with our Nuclear Risk Management team to provide a valued service to the business. This includes establishing, standardising, and configuring safety case derived maintenance requirements with broader safety documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience of successfully leading cross-functional teams in highly regulated environments
  • Process safety management experience
  • Understanding of nuclear safety principles, safe operating boundaries, operating and maintenance instructions, linking documentation, and quality systems
  • Experience with enterprise asset management systems and maintenance planning and delivery
