Nuclear Warhead Safety Specialist

AWE Plc is looking for a highly skilled Nuclear Warhead Safety Specialist to join their team at AWE Aldermaston.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of nuclear warheads, working closely with other engineers and experts.

The estimated salary for this position is between £62,020 and £98,020 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain safety protocols for nuclear warhead design and production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nuclear engineering, physics, or chemistry)
  • Relevant experience in nuclear warhead safety engineering or a related field
  • Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
