Job Overview
AWE Plc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineering Safety Expert to join our team in RG7 4PR. As a key member of our Engineering Safety Organisation, you will provide complex professional engineering judgement for the effective implementation of technical engineering safety.

About the Role
We are looking for someone with a maintenance engineering background who has knowledge and experience in demonstrating compliance with relevant good practice (RGP), such as SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, ISO 55000, and infrastructure/plant/equipment design standards. A good understanding of these standards and associated inspection and maintenance requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate strong root cause analysis and Failure Mode Effects (Criticality) Analysis skills
* Maintain infrastructure, plant, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies during design, including availability, reliability, and maintainability considerations
* Provide maintenance engineering advice and guidance across an equivalent manufacturing and/or research environment comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated manufacturing and/or research plant and equipment
* Identify, manage, and report on engineering safety risks to senior management
* Lead the delivery of engineering services across the life of an asset
