Human Factors Engineer

Job Overview: BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Principal Engineer in Human Factors to support site-based safety-related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and document Human Factors Integration Plans for specific work streams.
- Ensure up-to-date tracking of Human Factors issues.
- Support the identification of Human Based Safety Claims (HBSCs), contribute to the Fault Schedule, and provide Human Error Probability (HEP) calculations.
- Conduct Detailed Human Error Assessments (DHEA) and assess operator claims in safety cases.
About the Role:
- This role involves both technical expertise and the development of junior team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and capability building within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience advising large projects on Human Factors (HF), particularly in nuclear safety cases.
- Expertise in Hazard Identification (HAZID), Fault Schedules, and Human Reliability Analysis (HRA).
- Understanding of nuclear site licensing conditions (SAPs and TAGs).
- Proficiency in safety case processes, including Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA).
Salary Information: £66.14 Paye or £87.27 Umbrella inside IR35
