About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Associate to join our team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. As a key member of our gynaecology team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to women and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide sensitive and compassionate care to patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Assess and triage patient referrals, prioritizing care and making informed decisions.
  • Undertake nursing assessments and safety plans, recognizing limitations and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Manage patient case loads, prioritizing care and ensuring timely interventions.
  • Perform cannulation and phlebotomy procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety.
  • Provide pre and post-operative care, ensuring patients are well-prepared and supported throughout their journey.
  • Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological care, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
  • Assist in emergency gynaecology clinics and early pregnancy assessment units, responding to critical situations with confidence and poise.
  • Support general ward duties, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist medical staff during examination procedures, providing essential support and care.
