About the Role:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Itechpost, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital. You will work under general supervision to deliver nursing care to patients based on the nursing process, our hospital's standards of nursing care, and our policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients based on individual needs and medical conditions
  • Orient patients and family members to the hospital environment and act as a patient advocate
  • Collect patient assessment data and notify RN of potential problems
  • Evaluate patient's response to care and report findings to RN
  • Document delivery of patient care and respond effectively to emergency situations
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and meet patient's educational needs
  • Serve as a role model to other members of the patient care team

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program
  • Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required
