Nurse Associate

The Nurse Associate will work within a multidisciplinary team and report to the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Gynaecology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing and triaging patients, and contributing to the delivery of specialist gynaecology and early pregnancy nursing care.
Main Responsibilities- Provide sensitive, non-judgmental, and compassionate care to women and their families.
- Assess and triage referrals from healthcare professionals.
- Undertake nursing assessments and complete safety plans.
- Recognize own limitations and escalate concerns to the Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Assist and work alongside the Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Manage patient caseload and prioritize care.
- Be competent in cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, including ECG, wound care, and catheterization.
- Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological care to women undergoing pregnancy loss, miscarriage care, and termination of pregnancy care.
- Assist with Emergency Gynaecology clinics and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.
- Assist with general ward duties and maintain a safe and clean ward environment.
- Assist medical staff with examination procedures and provide chaperone services as needed.
