Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Team Lead - Chemical and Biological Systems to join our in-house design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking on a leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation. You will provide process design input, formulate and develop designs for clients, and provide direction and technical guidance to the team.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Leading project scoping visits and preparing project scope reports.
  • Developing and reviewing process calculations and process unit sizing.
  • Creating and delivering design deliverables.
  • Ensuring that project design checking, validation, and approval procedures are followed, including any client technical governance requirements.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
  • Leading design meetings, including HAZOPs.
  • Acting as a Design Lead for specific projects.
  • Specifying temporary treatment requirements to prevent consent breaches during construction activities.
  • Responding to engineering queries raised during the project construction stage.

What We Are Looking For In The Ideal Candidate:
  • A strong background in water and wastewater projects or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in process engineering or a similar industry environment.
  • Process design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater is highly desirable.
  • Proven management capability, including project development.
  • Experience working at all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and As-Built.
  • Experience of plant commissioning and/or plant operation is preferable.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning and risk management processes.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
  • A full UK driving license.
