Education and Support Specialist for Young People

We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special day school, providing support to students aged 6-19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) needs.
The ideal candidate will be able to support students in managing sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulty with transitions, while promoting inclusivity and respect within the school environment.
Responsibilities- Support students with their learning, development, and progress in various curriculum areas, including classroom, local environment, and community settings.
- Assist students with complex medical conditions and autism to achieve educational and personal goals.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Level 2 Maths and English qualifications or equivalent.
- Willingness to pursue further qualifications and training.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and promote inclusivity within the school environment.
The estimated salary for this role is £18,500 per annum, depending on experience.
