About the Role

The Senior Fraud Prevention Specialist will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of fraud prevention strategies to safeguard Deliveroo's business and customers. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate fraud risks, ensuring a secure and trustworthy experience for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of fraud trends and patterns, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective countermeasures.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to design and implement machine learning-based fraud detection models.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver strategic fraud prevention measures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting lines to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fraud prevention, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support the development of internal policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience in a fraud or abuse prevention role at the merchant level, with a proven track record of success in mitigating fraud risks.
  • Direct experience with machine learning and rule-based fraud prevention tooling, such as Ravelin, Sift, or Signifyd.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and proposals to leadership and operations teams.
  • SQL skills are preferred but not essential.
