We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Professional to join our team at Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Limited, a leading investment platform for private investors.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in payroll and work with a dynamic team. As a Senior Payroll Professional, you will support the delivery of HL's monthly UK payroll, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment to over 2,500 colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accurate and timely delivery of HL's monthly UK payroll, including starters, leavers, family leave, sick leave, and benefits.
  • Support the review of UK and Polish monthly payrolls, explaining changes in individual pay and addressing colleague queries.
  • Assist with HL's PAYE Settlement Agreement and ensure taxable benefits are taxed correctly.
  • E nsure accurate accounting of payroll-related costs in the Group accounts by calculating and posting monthly accounting entries.
  • Support the calculation of payroll adjustments for colleagues unapproved share option exercises.
  • Manage risk by maintaining accurate procedure documentation and monitoring updates regularly.

About You

  • A background in payroll/accounts is essential, with a professional qualification desirable.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and experience working with payroll software.
  • Strong organisational skills, good attention to detail, and ability to manage workload effectively within a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with problem-solving abilities.
  • A hardworking individual, keen to learn, reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • A competitive salary of approximately £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
