Learning Adventure Facilitator

We are looking for an experienced Outdoor Learning Facilitator to join our Harmeny Outdoors Team. As an integral part of our team, you will develop and deliver outdoor learning programmes, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for children with complex social, emotional and behavioural support needs.
Main Responsibilities- Plan and deliver outdoor learning activities, such as canoeing, climbing, and bushcraft, in line with Harmeny's educational goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a range of outdoor learning, adventurous and environmental activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, using therapeutic approaches to help them manage challenging behaviour.
- Ensure the safety of children and staff during outdoor activities, conducting regular risk assessments.
- Qualification in outdoor education, youth work, or equivalent experience.
- Nationally recognised leadership or coaching qualification and experience leading groups in outdoor activities.
- Ability to drive fleet vehicles.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- A competitive salary of £30,109 to £31,961 per annum, based on experience.
