Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Healthcare Specialist to join our dynamic team as an Apprentice Ward Clerk in our brand-new Inpatient Therapy Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing support to the Ward Clerks, ensuring that all administrative processes and tasks are undertaken efficiently and effectively, contributing to the smooth running of the ward and reception areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the ward reception desk, answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries.
  • Liaise with the help desk to resolve IT issues and provide technical support.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing teams to book transportation for patients and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

We offer a competitive salary of around £18,000-£19,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including access to training and development opportunities and a generous holiday allowance.
