We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Senior Therapy Assistant / Assistant Practitioner.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced healthcare professional to join our Acute Inpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic team. As a Senior Therapy Assistant / Assistant Practitioner, you will manage a delegated caseload of patients and undertake various activities to support our Physiotherapy/Therapy teams in delivering excellent patient care. You will receive training to work with and learn from staff who are experts in their field.
Responsibilities
The post holder will have delegated responsibility for a specified clinical area and assess, prioritise and manage own caseload of patients. You will work with minimal supervision, undertaking a variety of clinical tasks to support the delivery of therapy to patients. This includes working with other clinicians during assessments or treatments, supporting patients with prescribed exercises or functional tasks, and maintaining comprehensive records.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need evidence of completion of Physiotherapy Assistant competencies and their application in clinical practice. You should also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Allied Health Support or equivalent. Significant previous experience as a healthcare worker, including some experience in relevant specialties within a Physiotherapy Service, is essential. You must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate a strong ability to work as part of a team. We can offer you a competitive salary of £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
