Advanced Practitioner in Breast Imaging

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practitioner in Breast Imaging to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Breast Imaging Department, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality mammographic imaging service to our patients.
Our department is committed to delivering excellent patient care and has invested in state-of-the-art equipment, including full-field digital technology and tomosynthesis. We are a progressive department that is always looking for ways to improve our services and stay at the forefront of breast imaging developments.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Practitioner in Breast Imaging, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality mammographic imaging services to our patients
- Working unsupervised in a supervisory capacity with assistant practitioners in mobile or static screening clinics
- Documenting clinical observations and using your own judgment to clinically recall women for assessment
- Recognizing abnormalities on mammography and seeking advice from radiologists when appropriate
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Diploma/Degree of College of Radiographers
- A Certificate of Competency/PG Cert or equivalent in Mammography
- A full clean driving license
- Postgraduate qualification at master's level achieving the following: Image Interpretation and Analysis, Interventional Breast Procedures
You will also need to have significant postgraduate experience in Mammography, experience of the NHS Breast Screening Programme, and a strong understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion principles.
