We are seeking a Clinical Support Worker to join our team at the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. In this role, you will provide high-quality support to patients and families in our Children's Centre, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the efficient running of the centre, including supporting clinics, performing clinical duties, maintaining equipment, managing stock levels, and adhering to infection control procedures. About the Role
  • Book appointments and perform pre-clinic assessments, including anthropometric measurements and holistic evaluations.
  • SUPPORT PATIENTS' EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING BY FOSTERING POSITIVE INTERACTIONS AND CONVERSATIONS.
  • Accurately document all care delivered, maintaining confidentiality and recording electronically on trust systems.
  • Greet, interact with, and emotionally support patients and attendees of the Children's Centre.
  • Assist in maintaining medical devices and clinical equipment, including decontamination and accurate record-keeping.
  • Be responsible for ordering medical/surgical supplies and ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Adhere to trust infection control procedures, including cleaning toys and clinic rooms.
  • Chaperone/escort patients to other clinical departments or NHS units under the direction of the Community Paediatrician or RN.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education to GCSE level Grade 5 in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate and/or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Good organisational skills, basic IT and computer skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a nursing/Care Assistant role.
