Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Logistics Unit at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust as a Qualified Paramedic. The successful candidate will be part of a five-person team responsible for implementing the newly acquired Asset Management System, which aims to improve the management of the Trust's clinical assets.

Main Duties
  • Complete work packages as directed by the AMS Project Implementation Coordinator.
  • Support the implementation of new processes for managing clinical assets and establish new policies for managing clinical assets.
  • Support auditing of clinical asset holdings by locating clinical assets and recording relevant details.
  • Support OSS staff in establishing and embedding new processes for the storage of clinical assets.
  • Print RFID tags and label clinical assets using RFID tags.
  • Check clinical assets are allocated a unique RFID and have been correctly tagged.
  • Train and support staff to use and maintain asset management hardware and software.
  • Conduct system and process testing and support user acceptance tests.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and report to the Implementation Coordinator.
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential Criteria
  • Evidence of a broad experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Category B driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
  • Pallet truck training.
ExperienceEssential Criteria
  • Experience managing inventory and distribution.
  • Experience recording data accurately and appropriately.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office professionally, including Excel and Word.
SkillsEssential Criteria
  • Demonstrates a fair and consistent approach to work and professional relationships.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Professional demeanour, able to be appropriately discreet and maintain confidentiality as may be professionally required.
