Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Central Logistics Unit as a Logistics Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will be part of a five-person team responsible for implementing the newly acquired Asset Management System, which aims to improve the management of the Trust's clinical assets.

Main Duties
  • Complete work packages as directed by the AMS Project Implementation Coordinator.
  • Support the Implementation Coordinator in establishing and embedding new processes for managing clinical assets.
  • Support auditing of clinical asset holdings by locating clinical assets and recording relevant details.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of emergency, urgent care and non-emergency healthcare services, along with commercial logistics services.

The Trust delivers most of these services to the populations of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire as well as non-emergency patient transport services in Surrey and Sussex.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Implementation Coordinator in establishing and embedding new policies for managing clinical assets.
  • Support OSS staff in establishing and embedding new processes for the storage of clinical assets.
  • Print RFID tags and label clinical assets using RFID tags.
  • Check clinical assets are allocated a unique RFID and have been correctly tagged.
  • Train and support staff to use and maintain asset management hardware and software.
  • Conduct system and process testing.
  • Support user acceptance tests.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and report to the Implementation Coordinator.
