We are seeking a highly skilled Tyre Performance Engineer to join our team at EVolve. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our racing tyres.
Key Responsibilities:- Event Preparation: Evaluate and optimise tyre utilisation during track tests and race events to ensure maximum overall performance of cars during qualifying and races.
- Trackside Support: Support trackside tyre performance engineering duties with test program planning and analysis.
- Pre-Event Reporting: Formulate the pre-event tyre report with recommendations for tyre preparation and usage during race/test events.
- Data Analysis: Contribute with data-driven feedback for the development of the tyre moment/force/thermal model used on the driver in the loop simulator and offline simulation tools.
- Post-Event Correlation: Contribute to the post event tyre correlation exercise (race driver in the DIL) and reporting on such tests.
- Driver Support: Responsible for gathering and delivering information regarding tyre performance to the racing drivers and race engineers.
- Vehicle Dynamics Knowledge: A good Vehicle Dynamics knowledge and background is essential.
- Trackside Experience: Trackside experience in a high-level motorsport series will be beneficial.
- Tyre Modelling: Tyre modelling experience is desirable (Matlab / Simulink).
- Vehicle Dynamics Modelling: Experience of Vehicle dynamics modelling (Matlab / Simulink / SimPack / Dymola, Adams etc).
- Tyre Thermo-Mechanical Models: Experience in the development of tyre thermo-mechanical models, higher fidelity models (brush ) physical models or FE models would be a distinct advantage.
- Tyre Testing: Experience in tyre indoor and outdoor testing (planning, execution, data analysis) would be an advantage.
- Training and Development: Training to add to your existing skills and accelerate your career.
