Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Supplier Performance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for continuously measuring, analyzing, and improving supplier performance, while managing risks and crises, to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Daily follow-up with critical vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Performance Metrics Deployment: Establish and deploy standards for performance metrics to measure supplier performance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identify performance gaps, determine root causes, and develop action plans to address them.
  • Supplier Performance Review: Lead monthly supplier performance reviews to discuss performance metrics and action plans.
  • Improvement Planning: Develop and manage improvement plans, performance recovery plans, and related needs in collaboration with category leaders and support services.
  • Performance Metrics Review: Review and adjust performance metrics under the guidance of accountable functions and maintain data accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate performance metrics and dashboards to all stakeholders and component categories.
  • Crisis Management: Escalate critical or blocking points to management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Supplier Continuous Improvement: Routinely review supplier performance metrics for appropriateness and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supplier Development: Manage supplier continuous improvement actions plans, lead supplier assessments, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Supplier Logistic Agreements: Deploy supplier logistic agreements, including safety stock, lead time, EOQ, VMI, and blanket orders.
  • Supplier Development Plan: Structure and lead supplier development plans for appropriate suppliers, including APQP, VSM, and BCP.
  • Supplier Selection: Participate in supplier selection processes for new products and capacity expansion.
Requirements
  • Supply Chain Experience: 5-10 years of experience in supply chain management and supplier engagement.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP Skills: Ability to navigate and understand basic reporting extracts in SAP.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to supplier locations within and outside the UK.
Qualifications
  • Degree: Master's or Engineer degree in supply chain or a related field, or equivalent experience.
