We are seeking an experienced Supplier Performance Engineer to join our team at the OrganOx Oxford Manufacturing Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of supplier performance, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving process improvements across the supply chain.

This role involves frequent travel to supplier locations within and outside the UK, requiring a flexible mindset and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily follow-up with critical vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Deployment of standardized performance metrics to track vendor progress.
  • Identification and resolution of performance gaps through root cause analysis and action planning.
  • Management of improvement plans, performance recovery plans, and related needs in collaboration with category leaders and support services.
  • Review and adjustment of performance metrics under guidance from accountable functions, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Communication of performance metrics and dashboards to all stakeholders and component categories.
  • Escalation of critical or blocking points to management.
Improving Supplier Performance and Process:
  • Routine review of supplier performance metrics for appropriateness and opportunities for improvement.
  • Management of continuous improvement actions plans with suppliers.
  • Leadership in supplier assessments, including demand, maturity, MRP2, load, and capacity evaluations.
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams, including supplier quality, procurement, and supply chain.
  • Participation in supplier selection processes for new products and capacity expansions.
Crisis and Risk Management:
  • Support in managing supplier crises.
  • Development and implementation of action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Management of hyper-care resolution plans to drive swift resolution.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Practical experience in supply chain management and supplier engagement (essential).
  • 5-10 years of experience in supply-chain roles within an industrial company.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and tools.
  • Leadership and analytical skills.
  • Ability to navigate and understand basic reporting extracts within SAP.
  • Technical culture is desirable.
  • Approximately 20-50% of travel required to supplier locations within and outside the UK.
