Job Title: Head of Digital Transformation

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Digital Transformation Programme. As the Head of Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital strategy that ensures the delivery of top-tier healthcare through innovative technology.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the Digital Transformation Programme, ensuring alignment with the Trust's strategy and digital strategy.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Digital Services team, ensuring effective service delivery and championing new and transformational ways of working.
  • Manage the Programme budget, ensuring expenditure is in line with budget plans and constraints.
  • Implement and contribute to the development of the Trust's Digital Strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the NHS's digital strategy and implications.
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Digital Transformation Programme Steering Group, ensuring timely resolution and delivery of the Programme.
  • Provide regular performance reports on progress, status, and achievements for use by the Digital Transformation Programme Steering Group.
Person Specification:
  • Master's degree in a related subject or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience of delivering complex digital projects within a health environment.
  • Experience of managing large-scale change projects, including developing project plans and managing their implementation.
  • Successful track record of achieving service improvements through initiating the use of new technologies and supporting the management of change.
