Director of Revenue

The Athenaeum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Director to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and optimizing demand from all revenue streams, segments, and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a proactive selling strategy to maximize revenue and profit associated with rooms, residences, events, and food and beverage.
  • Achieve premium RevPAR and Trev PAR through effective forecasting, pricing, rate management, optimal market business mix, distribution channel mix, and identifying risks.
  • Generate and analyze analytical reports across all revenue streams.
  • Monitor daily transactions and day-to-day yielding opportunities.
  • Rate plan creation, loading, and mapping across all channels.
  • Reservations & Events Manager reports directly to you, and you thereby have responsibility for the whole reservations and events team.
  • Awareness, monitoring, and reporting on the London Hotel market, our competitive set performance, and our positioning in the marketplace.
  • Active account management of key OTA partners.

Requirements:

  • Previous proven revenue management experience for a minimum of 3 years in a senior role, ideally with experience and understanding of both UK and international luxury markets within the hospitality or travel industry, in a hotel.
  • IT and systems knowledge including (ideally) Opera PMS / Ideas / Excel / Siteminder / Synxis.
  • Previous experience in using a channel management system.
  • Understanding of hotel distribution systems/revenue management.
  • Accurate and analytical with an eye for data trends.
  • Highly numerate, and an ability to prepare, analyze, and use financial information.
