Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to oversee the charge card program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. This individual will be responsible for administering terminations and dispute resolutions, as well as ensuring compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of state and federal regulations related to small purchases and experience working with large data sets. They will be skilled in creating complex Excel spreadsheets and proficient in using state systems such as eVA and BANNER.

Responsibilities:

  • Train and advise cardholders on state and University policies, procedures, and systems
  • Develop auditing and tracking tools to ensure compliance
  • Assist in strategizing and carrying out OPS short-term and long-term goals
  • Administer terminations and dispute resolutions
  • Support SWaM procurement requirements
  • Provide advisory services and training to university department staff on purchasing policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, procurement, audit, or related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years of charge card administration experience in a public sector environment
  • Virginia Contracting Associate (VCA) certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment
