Job Summary:

KBR is seeking a skilled Commercial Manager - Pre-Contracts to join our Integrated Solutions business unit. As an integral member of our operational function, you will work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, minimizing risk and maximizing commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the review of tender documentation, focusing on contractual drafting, commercial terms, and administrative mechanisms.
  • Coordinate and record all contract documents, including attachments and exhibits, and assist with incorporating SMEs feedback and qualifications into KBR's proposals.
  • Work with Legal and Sales teams to prepare and distribute a consolidated analysis of the contract, highlighting areas of risk and suggested mitigations.
  • Support the Sales and Supply Chain Teams in developing commercial strategies for the preparation and finalization of project-related contract documents.
  • Understand the financial implications of the commercial and operational strategy in the context of KBR's risk appetite.
  • Assist the Subcontracts and Procurement functions with the development of Project Subcontracts and Procurement Management Plans during pre-contract negotiations and post-contract administration.
  • Provide support to post-contract project teams, ensuring contracts are understood and obligations are met in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions.

Requirements:

  • A relevant number of years' experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience working in the pre-award commercial setting.
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to understand and communicate complex execution models.
  • Able to demonstrate a cognizance for understanding and applying all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
  • The ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of different commercial models and a willingness to think differently around these.
  • Experience in managing project commercial issues in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and renewable energy and energy transition environments.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Law, Finance, Management, or Quantity Surveying, along with an appropriate professional qualification (preferred).
