About the Role

Achieving for Children is a dynamic Community Interest Company that offers a unique blend of public sector ethos and innovative spirit. We are seeking an experienced Care Worker Specialist to join our expanding Independent Fostering Agency in Kingston.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a range of fostering services, including recruitment, assessment, training, and supervision/support. Your role will involve working with colleagues to ensure the safe placement and achievement of permanency plans for children. You will also contribute to the development and engagement of carer training, support groups, duty, and out-of-hours support.

Our salary is highly competitive, with a starting annual salary of £32,000, rising to £43,000 with experience. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including 29 days' annual leave (increasing to 33 days after 2 years), a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, and opportunities for professional development and career growth.

To succeed in this role, you will need to hold a professional qualification (DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent) and be actively registered with Social Work England. You will also require experience in completing thorough assessments, ideally Form F/C & special guardianship assessments, and supporting foster carers through regular supervision visits. Excellent communication and partnership-building skills are essential.
