As a Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer in 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T), you'll play a vital role in shaping your projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shaping the nuclear safety case strategy.
- Working closely with project partners to ensure a safety informed design.
- Undertaking safety assessments and safety analysis.
- Producing safety reports and other technical documents.
- Support to Engineering Substantiation activities.
- Managing/Leading Safety Case activities and teams.
About You:
- You have a proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence and nuclear domain, or other highly regulated industries.
- You are ready to make the next step in your career and to join a team that will provide opportunities for growth.
- You embrace the digital world and are eager to explore how it can be used in the nuclear safety environment.
- You enjoy explaining complex ideas, helping people to 'get it', and then watch them go on and achieve more.
- You are approachable and can easily build and develop relationships and networks.
What We Offer:
- Honours Degree (or equivalent) in physics, mechanical engineering, or closely related discipline (2:1 minimum).
- Technical practitioner in the Nuclear/Defence domains, able to demonstrate good engineering judgement with experience in applying fundamental engineering principles.
We offer competitive salaries, ranging from £55,000 to £85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide flexible working arrangements, employee networks, and family-friendly employment policies to support staff from different backgrounds.
