We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Egis in the UK. As a key member of our specialist projects team, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement project management plans, establishing project strategy and communication lines for all stakeholders.
- Support the development of master programmes, identifying project milestones and team member responsibilities.
- Contribute to the interrogation of construction programmes, agreeing changes or enhancements.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to define project requirements and develop the project brief.
- Establish and lead project meetings with all project team members and stakeholder groups.
- Produce project correspondence, ensuring actions are clearly defined and delivered upon by all team members.
- Contribute to the production and issuance of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other appointment documents.
- Review and comment on tender returns from a technical compliance and cost standpoint.
- Negotiate with contractors to ensure tender costs represent best value.
- Assist with the review and commentary on design packages to ensure compliance with the project brief.
- Contribute to value engineering and risk review workshops.
- Compile and track risk mitigation activities and value engineering opportunities.
- Assist with the assessment of Contractor's claims for delay events; working with commercial team members to establish entitlement.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant construction discipline.
- 3 years of experience of working on projects with a high degree of technical complexity as an M&E QS or Project Manager.
- Working towards / Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent.
