About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Transition Manager to join our team at GGB - Global. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful transition of new services from project/development into production operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior stakeholder in compliance with industry and external standards, such as ISO9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001.
  • Assist with the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision-making processes, particularly in the areas of service provision, projects, component cost models, and the allocation and apportionment of IT costs.
  • Ensure that management processes, tools, techniques, and personnel are in place to ensure the planned and compliant transition of services, service components, and packages in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Provide authorisation for critical release activities and serve as a recognised point of escalation for the Change Management Function within the organisation.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes related to business change and participate in the planning and implementation of change.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and promptly respond to queries, complaints, and requests.
  • Capture and disseminate technical and business information.
  • Develop the organisation's approach to the transition process and define the service acceptance policy for service transition, which may include user training and documentation, sign-off by business and/or project managers, agreement on go-live dates, acceptance of technical support documentation by support functions, impact on SLAs with stakeholders, implementation of new technology/tools, and updating of service catalogue and configuration management system.
About You
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Experience with techniques for identifying, gathering, and validating customers' needs in the delivery of IT services is preferred.
  • Background in relevant national and international legislation would be beneficial.
  • Experience in delivering effective and accessible presentations, either face-to-face or online, within various contexts and to a variety of audiences is preferred.
  • Experience in methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases, requests for proposal (RFP), invitations to tender (ITT), and statements of requirements/work both verbally and in writing is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the assessment and management of business risk, including safety-related risk, is preferred.
  • Strong Project Management skills are required.
  • Strong Risk Management background is required.
