About the Role

The UK Project Manager/Director will play a key role in the planning, development, and execution of LanzaTech's strategic objectives in the UK and beyond. This position will lead multiple sub-projects and initiatives at any given time, with an initial focus on executing LanzaTech's Project Dragon in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.
  • Lead cross-functional global teams to ensure robust project management processes are followed.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including engineering design, planning, permitting, regulatory, logistics, financing, procurement, and construction.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure project documentation and deliverables meet internal and client specifications.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risk registers, and cost expenditures to ensure contractual requirements are met.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project execution and project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar design and construction projects.
  • Skilled in MS Office suite and MS Project.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to demonstrate effective coordination, planning, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with oil & gas, fermentation, process development, and/or process operations in a bioprocessing facility.
  • Experience licensing technology and executing projects with technology licensors and/or EPC companies.
  • Prior plant engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up experience.

Work Environment

  • Able to work remotely and in a general office environment.
  • Up to 30% of travel is required, majority within the UK.
