We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Director to join our team at LanzaTech UK. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will report to the Managing Director and play a crucial role in planning, developing, and executing our strategic objectives in the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, and manage project resources and teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, engineering, and operations, to ensure project success.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure project goals and objectives are met.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in the energy, biotechnology, chemicals, and/or fuels sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing multimillion-dollar design and construction projects.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with oil & gas, fermentation, process development, and/or process operations in a bioprocessing facility.
  • Experience licensing technology and executing projects with technology licensors and/or EPC companies.
  • Prior plant engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up experience.

Work Environment

Able to work remotely and in a general office environment. Up to 30% of travel is required, majority within the UK. Some travel may be required for extended periods to support projects during peak periods.
