Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of events in St. Helens. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, including procurement, contract management, and income generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event plans, policies, and procedures to support the achievement of directorate and organisational aims and objectives.
  • Manage contracts and finances related to event activity, including procurement and contract management of supplier contracts.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including key partners, community organisations, and wider support services, to ensure effective and safe event management.
  • Complete event documentation, including Event Management Plans, and ensure timely completion of risk assessments.
  • Undertake project management tasks, including scoping, business case development, project initiation, delivery, evaluation, and lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • Experience of organising events, ideally in a council or public sector setting.
  • Experience of working with community and voluntary groups when organising events.
  • Ability to organise exhibitions, public and partner participation forums, community events, etc.
