About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Control Systems Specialist to join our team at EC&I Partners. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control aspects of machinery to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical control instrumentation, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
- Confer with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
- Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of control theory to engineering projects
- Supervise and train project team members as necessary
- Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed to a satisfactory technical standard
- Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of control systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
- Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures
- Compile data and write reports relating to technical equipment testing, supplier non-conformances, and equipment malfunctions
- Familiarity with GAMP5 and V-Model
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
