Insurance Account Handler

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our SME clients, ensuring their insurance requirements are met, and building strong relationships with them.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in achieving client retention targets by delivering an outstanding level of service.
- Liaise effectively with the Account Executive to develop a tailored strategy for client renewals, attend meetings as necessary, and implement meeting points.
- Conduct market research to identify the most competitive terms available.
- Obtain renewal terms and present them to clients.
- Issue renewal documentation in accordance with contract certainty.
- Ensure premiums are collected prior to the commencement of cover and in line with Howden procedures.
- Handle all client queries, whether written or verbal, in a professional manner and process them effectively in line with service standards.
- Record all relevant information, correspondence, and documentation on Acturis and utilize the diary system efficiently.
- Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times using relevant Howden templates.
- Process adjustments in accordance with procedures, including notification to insurers, issue of revised documentation, and collection of additional premium.
- Actively promote products from other divisions.
- Liaise with and assist other branches and Group Resources as necessary.
- Working knowledge of main classes of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
- Minimum of 2 years experience dealing with SME or commercial clients.
