Exciting Opportunity for a Clinical Specialist in Paediatric Tissue Viability

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our paediatric team at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children. As a Clinical Specialist in Paediatric Tissue Viability, you will play a vital role in providing specialist knowledge, advice, and clinical skills to patients with skin conditions and birthmarks.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for leading and participating in coordinating all aspects of patient care, maintaining the best interest of the child and family at all times.
  • You will provide expert guidance and ongoing support to any nursing team involved in the care of infants, children, and young people diagnosed with or undergoing investigations or treatment for birthmarks/skin conditions.
  • You will actively participate in and develop patient clinical pathways for all infants, children, and young people attending the hospital for investigation and treatment of skin conditions.

Requirements

  • You must have a Children's Nursing Qualification – RN Child or RSCN with valid NMC registration.
  • You should have substantial post-registration experience in Children's nursing.
  • You should hold Basic/Intermediate Paediatric Life Support certification.
  • You should have a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
