About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Limes Medical Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment, including phlebotomy, wound dressing, and patient health checks.
  • Conduct blood pressure monitoring, weight and height measurements, and blood sugar level testing.
  • Provide assistance with minor operations, coil fittings, and venepuncture, ensuring patient care and safety.
  • Ensure adequate infection control procedures are in place and maintain accurate records.
  • Order and manage medical supplies, and input information onto our electronic patient record system.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualified in phlebotomy and a strong understanding of healthcare principles.
  • GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths, and a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience working in a nursing team within general practice, with a strong understanding of healthcare in your role.
  • Knowledge of SystmOne, our electronic patient record system.
